ArcServe is giving me this problem without showing any error. The backup status showed ‘Crashed’. When checking the TSKEPT logs in the BAB\Log folder , the cause of the Exception is – ASRBCKUP.DLL.

To rectify the problem , here is the step.

Stop all ARCserve Engines and rename the file ASRBCKUP.DLL which is in the folder – C:\Program Files\CA\BrightStor ARCserve Backup.

Start all the services and run a backup and it should be able to work. File location may have different. You may want to look for this file and rename.
